Opening Shout Outs!!!!

Tonights opening plenary session was so uplifting and fear inspiring. I loved the heartfelt stories of the trails and tribulations of getting oneself involved in the fight of saving ones life and helping others to gain the needed knowledge to remember that the fight is not over yet!!!!

I was looking at the scholarship Break down and I want to say that I am from NJ and only 2 applicants received a scholarship so I want to say a deep felt thank you to Tracy Swan for reading my application and accepting me to attend.......

Waheedah for that heartfelt opening and task that she went through to learn what a CAB (community advisory group) was and learning about the Denver Principles that were written as a guideline or HIV Bible for advocates today....and I loved the chicken stories because most cabs order baked or fried for a meeting LOL.......

I heard a statement from Shaquille Oneil's mother that stated "Walk like you got somewhere to go" and tonight all of the advocates got on their shoes and walked to their destination! I look forward to the days ahead!!!!!- meeting, gaining, and networking!!!! Good night blogland and see ya tomorrow........
